Professional, personal counseling and psychotherapy

About

I hold a master's degree in counseling psychology from Boston College.

I completed my undergraduate work at Wheaton College in Massachusetts where I was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, the national academic honor society, and Psi Chi, the international honor society for psychology.

I received my training in EMDR from the Trauma Institute in Northampton, MA in 2015.  In 2016, I earned a certificate from the Trauma Center in Brookline, MA for the completion of a 9-month course specializing in how to heal from traumatic experiences.  In 2017, I completed yoga teacher training after a month-long, intensive submersion experience in the jungle of Costa Rica.   Most recently, my trainings have concentrated on using EMDR and other techniques to help regulate the nervous system of an adult affected by chronic emotional, physical or sexual abuse/neglect during childhood.

I am a therapist who is committed to ongoing learning in the field.  I like to thread together compatible ideas from a wide array of philosophies to help clients.  I attend a week-long, silent retreat annually to sharpen my listening skills.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Massachusetts.
